Message It would cost a bit more.. but so much cleaner..

You could easily do it yourself..

Get a old door panel off any car.. cut a circle just about the same size (little smaller)..

Use something to hold it in place.. Like a magnet from underneath..

Weld small tack welds all the way around.. Welding in 180* spots.. Let it cool completely between welds..

You don't have to have the welder's voltage up high at all.. its very thin sheet metal.

Grind down high spots.. Then use somthing to heat up the metal ( I use a grinder with a SS coffee can lid attached)

Let the lid rub the high point of metal untill it gets red, Then immediately use a towel soaked with cold water (This will shrink the metal/highspots)

Sand smooth, Use bondo to get it clean (use as little as possible)

Then sand etc

Then use some bondo spot puddy to get the pits out..

Sand again..

Primer.. Sand.. primer.. wet sand..

Paint.. (however many coats you want, I would do around 3-4 light coats)

wetsand..

Clear, sand lightly, clear (3-4 coats).. wet sand..

buff with quality wax and you're done.

:)

NO, This picture is not photoshopped. It took many times to take this picture. Setting up the timer, shutter speed etc, then jumping on my bike and getting the tire to spin.
